Dieses Training ist für Musiker*innen und Musikpädagogen*innen entwickelt worden, die in Deutschland leben und ihre Fähigkeiten entwickeln möchten, Musik für Gemeinschaftsbildung und positivem sozialem Wandel zu nutzen – besonders in der musikalischen Arbeit mit geflüchteten Menschen. Ein Schwerpunkt des Trainings liegt darauf zu lernen, welche Prinzipien und Einstellungen dafür notwendig sind, um mit verschiedenen Gruppen unterschiedlicher Größe, Alter und Herkunft auf diese Weise musikalisch zusammenzuarbeiten. Methoden und Ansätze werden vorgestellt und praktisch erprobt.
Durchgeführt wird das Training wird von den
Musicians Without Borders, einem Pionier in der Weiterbildung von Community-Musikern, die ihre Aktivitäten so planen, durchführen und evaluieren, dass sie erstaunliches leisten: Hoffnung machen, sozialen Zusammenhalt und Verbindung zwischen Menschen verbessern, Identität und Empathie stärken – unabhängig von Herkunft, Religion oder Sprache. Bis zu 30 Teilnehmende werden auf Grundlage der durch “Musicians without Borders” entwickelten Methoden als Community Music Workshopleiter trainiert.
Folgende Fähigkeiten und Themen werden im Training behandelt:
• Community Music Herangehensweisen im Bereich Singen, (Body)Percussion, Bewegung, Songwriting
• Vertrauensbildung und Teamarbeit
• Feedback, Bewertung und Selbstreflexion
• Grundlegende Wahrnehmung von und Umgang mit Traumata
• Gewaltfreie Kommunikation und die Entwicklung von Empathie
• Techniken von nonverbaler Gruppenleitung
• Kreativität und Improvisation
Es ist wünschenswert, dass anschließend jede/r Teilnehmende eigene Workshops in Flüchtlingscamps, Schulen oder anderen lokalen Gruppen leitet. Das Training findet auf Deutsch und Englisch statt.
Aufgrund der Förderung durch das Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes NRW wird das Lehrentgelt erlassen, die Teilnahme ist gegen Übernahme der Kosten für Unterkunft/Verpflegung möglich.
Community Music Training
This training has been developed for Germany-based musicians and music educators who wish to develop their skills to use music for community building and social change, especially in the musical work with refugees. The training will be conducted by
Musicians Without Borders, a pioneer in training community music leaders to plan, deliver and evaluate community music activities which contribute to social change by strenghtening hope, resilience, connection, identity and empathy.
The focus of the training is therefore to learn principles and attitudes necessary to work inclusively with diverse groups of different sizes, ages and backgrounds. Methods and approaches will be presented and tried out practically. Up to 30 participants will be trained as Community Music Workshop leaders based on the methods developed by "Musicians without Borders".
The following skills and topics are covered in the training:
- Community Music approaches in the field of singing, (body) percussion, movement, songwriting
- Confidence building and teamwork
- Feedback, evaluation and self-reflection
- Basic awareness of trauma
- Nonviolent communication and the development of empathy
- Techniques of non-verbal communication
- Creativity and improvisation
It is desirable that each participant then runs their own workshops in refugee camps, schools or other local groups. The training takes place in German and English.
Thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the training fee is waived. Participants will only have to cover the costs for room and board.
